You wake up. It's still early. You wrap yourself up in a blanket and walk barefoot to the stairs. The artifact is ready! Don't forget to keep something sharp at hand before the guest comes to dinner. Cocoa and cookies won't calm you down. The ticking of the clock becomes deafening. It's here! The door creaks, and sharp fingernails peep in slowly.And that is only the beginning, although the end has already escaped you.
midway: adv. y adj. en o hacia un punto equidistante entre otros dos en la distancia o el tiempo.
Te despiertas. Todavía es pronto. Te arropas con una manta y caminas
descalzo hacia la escalera. ¡El artefacto está listo! No olvides tener
algo afilado a mano antes que el invitado llegue a la cena. Ni el cacao
ni las galletas consiguen calmarte. El tictac se vuelve ensordecedor.
¡Ya está aquí! La puerta chirría y unas afiladas uñas se asoman
lentamente.Y sólo es el principio, aunque el final ya se te ha escapado.
